What this site is for
Web Design Websites helps UK small businesses, sole traders and organisations hire a web designer with fewer surprises. It covers the questions to ask, what a quote and contract should include, how to keep control of your domain and hosting, and the warning signs to look out for.
Our interest, stated plainly
We run Zoib, which sells websites and web hosting to UK businesses. That means we have a commercial interest in this subject. To keep this guide useful anyway:
- We don’t take payment from, or earn commission on, any company we mention.
- We don’t publish prices, statistics, rankings or testimonials we can’t source. Where we quote a figure, we name the source and the date we checked it.
- Where Zoib is relevant, we say “we run Zoib” and you can ignore it. The checks in these guides apply to every provider, including us.
How we write and check these guides
Guides are written by the Zoib editorial team and checked against primary sources such as GOV.UK, legislation.gov.uk, the ICO, the CMA, Nominet and providers’ own help pages. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed and lists its sources. Nothing here is legal advice. If you spot a mistake, email [email protected] and we’ll correct it.
